Adelaide was born on March 12th 1975 in another country, unknow (to protect themselves and especially the child). She was born a year after the event of Charles, Erik, Hank and Peter trying to stop Raven to kill the president. She didn't know that she was pregnant during that time but only discover it a couple of weeks later. After she was stopped, Erik and Raven left to hide.
At the age of eight (1983), Adelaide show some abilities such as being able to move object with her hands. It first happened when she was only six, and because she was angry. While Adelaide could shapeshift into a blue form at a young age, she wasn't able to do like her mother, which is, shapeshifting into everyone else.
She still remember that time when she wasn't able to shift back to her human form for two years. She didn't know what was going on and was afraid to be seen by the humans, fearing for their reactions. She experienced their cruel reaction once and she didn't want to relive the same things but her mother taught her to accept herself and just like that, she was able to shift back into a human form..
Back to 1983, Adelaide was only eight year old and her parents decided to take her to Xavier's school for gifted youngster where she met her half brother; Peter Maximoff. During the following years, a disaster happened at the school where Apocalypse ; the first mutant in the history wake up and kidnap Charles Xavier to end the humankind to start a new world were the mutant could be in it. While her parents, Scott, Hank, Peter, Jean and Storm went to stop Apocalypse from destroying the world. Turned out that Jean was the one to saved everyone but not without awaken her alter ego; Phoenix.
For the next years, when things went back to normal and Apocalypse was defeated, everything was quiet. She spent the next years, staying in New York, studying and learning about her abilities (if there was any). As of now, she was only able to move anything that was to be able to manipulate magnetic fields but it was only triggers if she was unstable emotionally. She had to learn how to control her abilities while she was unstable emotionally and when she wasn't.
Her father left in Genosha; an island where he invited all the mutant who didn't have a home. Adelaide often came to visit him during the summer, spending month with him but had to leave when school was back.
1992, Adelaide was now seventeen and still studying in the mansion in New York. She was too afraid to be amongst human or to think about her future or what she wanted. She knew that there would never be a place for mutant in the human society.
During the year 1992, something happened to Jean when she came back from saving human who were in the space, in danger. Jean was different. She was darker. Adelaide didn't know why but she could sense it until Jean attacked her, making her leave with Hank to warn her father (leaving the part where she was attacked. )
